التبييض والحشوات التجميلية
People ask whether whitening damages enamel and whether it will look unnatural. Professional whitening does not remove enamel. The shade is chosen with you and stopped where it still looks like your teeth. Bonding adds composite to chips and edges in one visit without drilling healthy tooth.

How it works
Step 01
Whitening works on clean enamel. Decay and sensitive spots are treated first.
Start of the visit
Step 02
Gums are covered with a protective barrier before the gel is applied.
10 minutes
Step 03
The gel works in short cycles over about an hour. Home trays can extend the result.
About 1 hour
Step 04
Composite is layered and shaped on the tooth, then polished. No anaesthetic is usually needed.

Questions patients ask
Professional whitening used as directed does not remove or weaken enamel. Temporary sensitivity is the common side effect and settles within days.
Usually one to three years depending on coffee, tea, smoking and home care. A short top-up with home trays restores the shade.
No. Porcelain and composite do not change shade. Visible fillings may need replacing after whitening to match the new colour.
Typically five to seven years before it needs polishing or replacing. It can chip under heavy biting and stains more than porcelain.
